Draped Clay Wall Sculpture – Off-White Matte

A handmade wall sculpture, 40×60cm, constructed from air-dry clay applied and sculpted by hand onto a stretched canvas base. The clay is shaped across the entire canvas surface to create the appearance of draped fabric — layered folds and panels overlap and converge toward a spiral centre, with the edges of the piece carrying loose, open fold forms.

The surface finish is uniformly smooth and matte throughout — no brushwork texture, no variation in surface grain. The piece reads as entirely monochromatic: a single off-white tone across the full composition. The only visual contrast comes from the shadow cast within the fold recesses, which shifts continuously as light direction changes.

This is a sculptural object mounted on canvas, not a painting. The clay forms are the artwork — there is no painted composition beneath or around them.
